Places to visit in Andalusia

Hotel Kadampa Spain is an ideal base from which to explore the enchanting towns and villages of Andalusia:

Alhaurin el Grande – Just five minutes from the Hotel, Alhaurin el Grande is one of the most picturesque villages in the Guadalhorce valley. Besides the abundance of excellent restaurants and tapas bars, the village offers jazz and flamenco festivals, a feria in June, and many processions and celebrations throughout the year.

Costa del Sol – The hundred and sixty kilometres of golden coastline known as the Costa del Sol is the setting for famous resorts such as Málaga, Torremolinos, Marbella, Fuengirola, and Nerja, where you will find exquisite Blue Flag beaches, aqua parks, boat hire, sports facilities, shops, bars, restaurants and fantastic nightlife!

Granada – Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Granada was once the capital of an ancient Moorish kingdom. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, this fascinating city is overlooked by the magnificent Alhambra Palace – a must for the serious tourist!

Mijas Costa – An old fishing pueblo unspoiled by mass tourism with golden sandy beaches and facilities for many sporting activities.

Mijas Pueblo – A dazzling traditional whitewashed village beneath the Sierra de Mijas, with narrow, winding streets, breathtaking views, and many charming shops, tapas bars, and restaurants – not forgetting the famous “donkey taxis”.

Ronda – One of the most spectacular towns in Spain. Straddling the Tajo gorge Ronda is steeped in history with narow cobbled alleys, whitewashed houses, and dramatic views all around. The area is ideal for walking, riding and mountain biking.

Seville – The provincial capital of Andalusia, Seville is a vibrant city with extraordinary architecture, delightful plazas, and a rich festive tradition. Famed as the original home of tapas, the city boasts over a thousand tapas bars.

These are just a few examples of the places worthy of a visit. For more information, ask at Reception and our friendly staff will provide you with information, maps, and directions to many other exciting places.
